Thursday Thirteen #4

Thirteen Things I Learned This Week

Thanks to Allison Kent for her link to this Passionate post about mindfulness, I learned exactly what I most needed to learn most this week:

  • 10. "Practicing mindfulness is like adding more hours to your day. If you're mindful, time slows down. You ... feel less stress."
  • 11. "If you want to get more done, be mindful."
  • 12. "If you want to have more time, be mindful."
  • 13. "Mindful means one thing at a time."

What about you? Learn anything particularly (or even not particularly) interesting this week?

I was so excited about #2, but then I read #3. Oh well...
I'm participating in the meet and greet at TT, but I'm glad I found your blog either way.

Thanks for stopping by, Melessa! What's that meet and greet thing? And how are you doing it during such a busy week for you?! You're amazing!

LOL, thanks, rashenbo. I bookmarked Written's page, because one of these days, I'm going to memorize the difference!

Great list - have you been to the Gutenberg Project? Check it out - you may download books and there is one I really like named "How to Speak and Write Correctly".

I find I learn tons of new stuff every week just by surfing the Thursday Thirteens :)

Thanks for the link. Keep up the great blogging!

Thanks for visiting my TT

I need to be more mindful, so that is my goal for the day.

Great TT. What did I glean this week, well, during an arduous grammar course last year where the only thing I could remember was a gerund, I actually was able to use said gerund correctly at my work. That's about it.

Happy TT! Thanks for dropping by mine.

Thanks for #1...I really need to do some organizing in this area!

5 & 6 cracked me up. And thanks for the teaser on Dean Koontz. Got my pulse up there for a second...and then *crash*

Rashenbo 2/09/2007 03:17:00 PM

Hehehe, there are a few words that I do have problems with. I think I usually do alright with lay and the variances of it...

Alyssa Goodnight 2/09/2007 05:52:00 PM

I'm soooo not mindful...I'm always doing twenty things at once. I guess I need to read that post!

I do love #5 & #6 though.

Thanks for visiting!

I learned that following that link about POV will teach me a few things about POV

The price of some books simply sucks!!! I did study biology in university, and it was expensive!! A couple of books were more than an 100$!
I am feeling your pain for that book!!
