It's Snowing! Really Snowing!

It’s so pretty, isn’t it? Here’s my house, decorated, this year. (Tip: Buy up all the 90% off stuff after Christmas!)

You strangely can’t tell that it’s near a white-out in the picture above. So here’s another picture to prove it:

And here’s my love with Caesar, our big lug of a cat whose the cuddliest:

And finally, our Christmas tree this year (Blue Spruce, painful!):

Oohhhh! Love the snow! (and the cat!)
Our noreaster turned out to be just wind and rain...We were gipped! I was hoping for a couple of feet of snow so I could ditch work tomorrow.

Let it snow, let it snow, let is snow!

It's soooooo pretty! But, um, I think all those decorations might be coming down. There's a wind blowing through here like you wouldn't believe!

Rain in the winter is depressing. Too gray. I prefer snow!

How nice! My tree is under attack every day by my youngest kitty; it's like a big tall playground for her!

My outside decorations are kind of lame; some of the lights went out this year so we've got gaps and stuff... But that only means new lights next year! MORE! BIGGER! SINGING TREES!!!!

...I think I need to go lie down...

Thanks so much for sharing your wonderful pictures! Your house is beautiful, not to mention your beloved and the cat!

We have a whole section of our icicle lights that conked out on us and there's a gap across the garage that looks like it's lost a tooth or something...

Erica Orloff 12/17/2007 08:17:00 AM

OH! How beautiful. Our tree is so pitiful compared to yours, but I will have to snap a shot of Baby Girl's Christmas Village all set up beneath it. She gets so excited to take out all the little houses each year and set it up.

Thanks for sharing your pictures. I LOVE seeing trees, decorations, and kitties!

Beautiful, Spy! We have the same candy cane lights in front of our house...but they got completely buried last night. :0

I'll have to snap a few pics to share. The DH went nuts with led lights trying to replicate a tree he saw at MGM studios. It's...awesome!

Edie 12/17/2007 09:12:00 AM

Great pics, Spy! Your tree looks beautiful. So does your cat. :)

We've been getting bombed with snow too. We should have a white Christmas this year, which I'm happy about. But it would be nice to have a break from all the snow.

spyscribbler 12/17/2007 11:26:00 AM

Awww, Writenow! And your youngest kitty is a little tyke, isn't she? Her very first Christmas tree!

LOL, Karen. If you look closely at our front porch, we've got two gaps. *sigh* What can you do?

Erica, I love Christmas villages! We have a little waterfall one, plus two of those village houses. Both are piano stores, and one has a cat on the balcony! Please do share a picture!

Thanks, Lorraine! I love Christmas lights. To me, that's Christmas. Okay, maybe I'm not that shallow, but they sure make me feel good.

Oh, Lainey! Pic-ture-pic-ture-pic-ture! We want to see that! Sounds like you got some snow. All the local kids were wearing their pajamas inside out, in hopes for a snow day. No such luck, though.

Thanks, Edie! I'm so thankful we're having a white Christmas. I prefer those over gray or muddy ones. :-)

Beautiful! Makes me want to cuddle up with Christmas carols and a cup of cocoa.

We've had our tree up ( Douglass Fir) for a week and our cats have been having fun eating needles.

No snow here in SoCal. But plenty of spirit in the way houses are decorated.

spyscribbler 12/17/2007 03:42:00 PM

That's awesome, J.K. To be honest, we don't get many Christmas lights up here anymore, maybe two or three houses per street on each block. When I was growing up, there were lights on nearly every house.

Do they decorate more in SoCal to make up for no snow?

Ello 12/17/2007 04:00:00 PM

What great pictures! And your hubby looks so sweet! And your tree is beautiful. It was nice to see your holiday pics!

spyscribbler 12/17/2007 04:23:00 PM

Thanks, Ello! I love the big guy. He's a real teddy bear. And the cat, too!

Kate S 12/17/2007 08:02:00 PM

OH, loved all the photos! :) You and your DH are such a cute couple. :)

spyscribbler 12/17/2007 10:47:00 PM

Thanks, Kate! I'm crazy about the guy. :-)

Bernita 12/18/2007 08:56:00 AM

Warm and lovely photos.
We had a freaking blizzard.

That's always been my theory. The next door neighbors have a light display that blinks in time with the Christmas carols discretely pumped out on their stereo.

Down the street, there's a house with a working 4-foot high wooden ferris wheel, in which Santa and his reindeer travel round and round. Then there are the snowglobes here and there -- those air-puffed doohickeys you can buy at CVS, where the fake snow fluffs around a scarf-wearing penguin.

Makes walking at night with my sweetie fun.

Oh, wow! I saw that Christmas carol light show thing at Bed, Bath & Beyond. Way cool.

I want to move to California now!
