Wow! Walk While you Work!
OHMIGOSH! Have you heard of the "Treadputer?" I love the idea. Walk while working. Awesome! But could I really type and walk at the same time? What do you think? Could you?
I could use to burn an extra 600 calories before noon while getting writing done. Pictures from The Treadmill Desk.
Evidently, it helps with ADD symptoms. THAT is cool.
Okay, back to work. I am so procrastinating! In my defense, I did 15 hours of studio business gunk over the past day and a half. Now I can write guilt-free!

18 bonus scribbles:
I could not do that. I have a hard enough time using the TV remote while I'm working out on my elliptical machine.
I wonder if I could do it, too, Karen. I don't know, LOL. I have a cloud walker, and it's tempting to try to write.
I do roll around on my yoga ball while writing. :-)
I would love it but I don't think it'd work well with design, especially the things that require close detail. Dare to dream!
I get most of my ideas while I'm writing, but I think it's because I'm in a relaxed state. I don't know how relaxed I'd be typing and walking at the same time. lol
There is no way I'd have the coordination for that thing, but it's a great idea. I can't even read on the elliptical machine.
I'm still waiting for someone waterproof Shower-puter. I get my best inspiration in the shower, but it doesn't always stick around after I've toweled off and gotten dressed. Fickle Water Muse!

ack! 'waiting for someone to invent'
Spy tell me are you single... or....?
EXERCISE??!!!! Stop. What next, eating well? You know, they are probably planning on putting devices like this throughout the corporate world, letting the energy being produced by the worker be funnelled into a big battery. The corporations will then sell the power. I know, it sounds mad, but they laughed at the idea of elbow pads for pelicans, too.
LO, I can't read on the elliptical either.
O,r apparently, type on a regular keyboard.
LOL.
Hey Spy, thanks for sharing the slide. Love the idea, but not sure I could be creative that way. I can read on my stepper, but not sure I could balance the treadmill/typing/brainstorming combo. Like Edie, I think relaxation is key.
hehe that is pretty cool! I often read and walk at the same time.
My typing is crappy enough as it is.
That's a cool idea! But for someone like me who is *really* prone to motion sickness, I'd get sick trying to do that. Too bad!
Hey, everyone! All good points. Hear y'all on the concentration thing. I wonder if I could do it, too. Maybe while marketing and doing business gunk, but I'm not sure about the writing. I'd be willing to try for a day! I sure would like to find more time to workout.
I do sit on a yoga ball. Does that count? :-)
I would totally fall off if I tried to do that! Good idea though--for those with coordination, I mean. :)
You know, that's a really cool idea, but 1) I'm so out of shape I'd need to be able to switch back and forth from chair to treadmill, and 2) I'm not sure I could write while walking like that. :P It's a neat idea, though.
I've been thinking of asking for a Wii for Christmas. I do spend several hours per week [cough] playing computer games, and they have games for the Wii which get you all active-like, and not just Wii-Fit. That might be a better bet than tying my actual productivity into my ability to walk and type at the same time. :)
